Medical courses after 12th
Medical programmes after 12th grade – Many class 12 students dream of pursuing a career in medicine. After completing their 12th grade coursework in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, candidates can enroll in a choice of medical programmes that provide lucrative careers.
In addition to MBBS and BDS, which are the most popular choices for students, there are additional medical specialties that candidates can follow after completing their 12th grade education, including nursing, paramedicine, physiotherapy, veterinary medicine, and AYUSH. While NEET-UG is the primary entrance exam for most medical programmes after class 12, several programmes also accept scores from other national and state entrance exams.

MBBS Admission Process in India 2022
Candidates get admitted to the MBBS programme based on their achievement in the NEET national level entrance exam. View the Indian MBBS admissions procedure below.
MBBS entrance exams
As previously indicated, there is just one national medical entrance test (NEET) for MBBS admission. Based on the NEET-UG syllabus, which covers material from the class 11 and 12 CBSE curriculum, NTA administers the medical admission exam. In accordance with the NEET exam format, candidates for MBBS admission must respond in three hours to 180 multiple-choice questions out of a possible 200.
The three areas of the NEET 2022 question paper are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany + Zoology). The NEET biology part has the most questions, 90 of which must be answered correctly for 360 points. The final two sections of the NEET exam are equally weighted, with each component receiving 45 questions and 180 marks.
What after qualifying NEET exam?
Candidates would be eligible to participate in the central, state, and AIQ counseling procedure for MBBS admission once they have qualified for the NEET exam. The list of NEET-UG qualified applicants will be created by NTA. Students who have been shortlisted are eligible for NEET counseling. Students must register at the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) portal in order to take part in the counseling and seat allocation processes.
15% of the All India Quota, deemed/central universities, AFMS, and ESIC institutes will receive NEET counseling services from MCC. Students must fill out their preferences for the course and the colleges they want to attend during the MBBS admissions counseling process, register using their personal and NEET-related information, and pay the counseling cost. The NEET UG seat allocation will be carried out by MCC based on the options selected by candidates, NEET All India Rank, reservation, and seat matrix. Candidates who are offered seats during MBBS admission seat allotment must report to the designated institute.
State-wise MBBS admissions in India
All seats at private institutions as well as the remaining 85% of government colleges’ state-quota seats will be filled by the relevant state authorities. Both offline and online methods of counseling are available for MBBS admission. Candidates must register, select courses and colleges, and go through document verification during state counseling for MBBS admission. In addition to the state quota seats, state agencies would handle MBBS admission for all available seats in private colleges in the relevant state.
